Solara grew up in Los Angeles in a musical household - she participated in nightly jam sessions with her family and neighbors, became a classically trained violinist, and released a bluegrass album with her siblings. But she found her voice through extensive travels to Haiti and her longing to maintain the connection with her Spanish/Mexican roots.

In "FIFTY FIFTY", Stylo has activated Solara's Latin DNA with slow building beats highlighting the trade-off between her English and Spanish verses. Not only is she trading off languages but she sings passionately about her confusion about being in a grey area in a romance. "Are we good? / are we bad together". The battle between one's dreams vs reality, is the tension that pulsates through "FIFTY FIFTY".
